Description

January 2023

A book of bagpipe tunes composed and collected by Calum Maclean, Tobermory.

Calum delivers piping tuition to youngsters interested in learning to play the Great Highland bagpipe.

Calum is the son of the late master accordionist and composer Calum Maclean and was surrounded by music by his Dad and other family members.

The front cover painting is of Calum Maclean on the rocks near Duart Castle, the seat of the Clan Mclean. Painting by island artist John Archibald.

"Mull has its fair share of traditional music with well-known songs and melodies and I thought it would be a good idea to try and make some of these available to pipers and hopefully add to a piping tradition which, on Mull, boasts many famous and well-known pipers and patrons." Calum Maclean.
