Dumfriesshire born singer Emily Smith first made her mark on the Scottish music scene when she won the BBC Radio Scotland Young Scottish Traditional Musician of the Year Award in 2002. She has worked with performers including John McCusker, Karine Polwart and North Cregg, and was part of the acclaimed Scottish Women and Unusual Suspects touring groups.
