The three girls in this band are all prize winning musicians and listeners to this CD will very soon know why that's the case, from the very fine Shetland style fiddle playing apparent even from track one. Along with the bands' guitarist Andrew Tulloch, they also turn out many self-penned tunes.

Filska are another excellent example of the high standard of musicianship apparent in Scotland's young musicians.

Filska are Jenna Reid (fiddle, accordion, vocals), Gemma Wilson (fiddle, vocals), Bethany Reid (piano, fiddle, vocals) and Andrew Tulloch (guitar, vocals) with guest musicians Mark Hodgson (double bass), Martin O'Neill (bodhran), Vicky Fifield (violin), Emma Smith (violin), Vicky Matthews (cello) and Beth Symmons (double bass).

They played mostly Shetland material, much of it their own, which comprised of equal parts grit and sweetness, luminosity and drive.
