Vibrant Scottish folk fiddle - Blazin' Fiddles are Allan Henderson, Catriona MacDonald, Iain MacFarlane, Bruce MacGregor, Aidan O' Rourke, Marc Clement (guitar) and Andy Thorburn (piano).
The second album from the band, with a live concert feel and featuring 'old style' traditional tunes in typical Blazin' Fiddles fashion along with modern compositions from the likes of Gordon Duncan, Liz Carroll and Jerry Holland.
The band came together in 1998 for a one-off tour for the Highland Festival, purely as a way of highlighting individual Highland and Islands fiddle styles. However, the fantastic audience response and the great times the group had themselves resulted in all the individuals wanting to keep the bandwagon rolling.
Since then they have played throughout the world, representing Scotland at the Fiddles of the World Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia, touring the United States and much of Europe. This year also saw them play to over one and a half million people when they rang in the bells on BBC1's Hogmanay show.
Their live performances have drawn a range of superlatives not often associated with traditional music in Scotland.
"The Led Zeppelin of traditional music" (The Scotsman)
"Absolutely mindblowing" (Mike Harding, BBC Radio 2)
"Blazin Fiddles are doing for Scottish fiddle music what Trainspotting did for their film industry" (The Halifax Herald)
