Mary Jane Lamond is a respected artist within the Celtic and World music genres. She is an activist in the preservation of Celtic heritage, and her knowledge of the Gaelic culture has garnered her acclaim worldwide.

Mary Jane has earned several Juno and East Coast Music Award nominations and awards for her previous recordings. She also composes and produces music for television and film.

Mary Jane's recording Storas (Gaelic for 'a treasure') is her interpretation of Scottish Gaelic songs that have become part of Nova Scotia's Gaelic tradition. Her hypnotic vocals and heartfelt delivery are complemented by modern instrumentation and arrangements, bringing these traditional songs alive for the listener.
