Recorded live in Back Free Church, Isle of Lewis, Scotland, the second of a series of CDs featuring the congregation singing unrehearsed, unaccompanied Psalms with various precentors.

This is traditional Gaelic psalm singing in the style of free heterophony - precentor-led singing with the congregation following through. Various precentors lead a large congregation in the most popular psalms.

This form of public worship has been around for several hundred years and has a clear link with the origins of black American Gospel music.

Enhanced CD - includes video playback for computer CD-ROM players.

Gaelic words and English translation given in the sleeve notes.

Proceeds from the sale of this CD go to The Bethesda Home and Hospice in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.
