Piping CDs are many and plentiful, but few have such an impressive pedigree as this. With many tunes written by the almost legendary G S McLennan and other well-known pipers, this CD celebrates the life of Harry Lunan, who served with G S in World War One, survived the horrors of the Battle of the Somme, and went on to become a well-known Pipe Major in Canada.

The Last Piper of the Great War, Harry died aged 99 in 1994, but his choice of excellent pipe tunes lives on, played here by world-class pipers Angus MacColl, Roddy MacLeod, Stuart Shedden and Gordon Walker.
