With a history dating from 1859, the London Scottish is one of the most famous Territorial regiments in the British Army. This new release is a feast of popular piping tunes performed by military pipers in traditional martial style.

The Pipes and Drums of The London Scottish Regiment have appeared in numerous films and television shows. Their most famous appearance was in the classic film Tunes of Glory starring Alec Guiness and John Mills.

Individual band members have also appeared in Monte Carlo Or Bust, Carry On Sergeant and The Longest Day, when Pipe Major DeLaspee played Lord Lovat's piper landing at Sword Beach on D-Day. The current band recently appeared in the stage play Tunes Of Glory.

The music of a soldier's life - marches to advance, marches to retreat, the Reveille to wake up to, and the Lights Out to go to sleep to.

The band of the London Scottish plays the traditional music of a military schedule with style, gusto and supreme musicianship.
