| Roddy Mathews - The Wannie Line BMCD101 (December 2002) 16 tracks, including marches, reels, airs, waltzes, strathspeys, hornpipes, slow airs and polkas.
Newly composed Northumbrian fiddle tunes, with a strong Shetland influence and a dash of Cape Breton. Most of the tunes were written in traditional style by Roddy Mathews himself, to celebrate places and friends.
Some friends join him on the album, where his delicate yet powerful fiddle style is set off superbly by the occasional accompaniment from Alan Brown on piano, Chris Newman on guitar, and Máire Ní Chathasaigh on clarsach.
A very traditional CD yet quite unique in its styling.
