A superb CD from this top dynamic band at the forefront of the Scottish music scene, who play with rare passion and joy.

A mix of old songs and music with new self-penned repertoire, inspired by their rich heritage of Celtic music and played on a fusion of ancient and modern instruments.

Four world class traditional musicians, all talented exponents of their instruments.

Named after the Glasgow suburb of Battlefield, where the group was formed by four student friends in 1969, they have been taking their music to the world for over 40 years. There have obviously been line-up changes and indeed the band are remarkable for the smooth way in which these changes have taken place.

Includes sleeve notes with background information on the songs.

Mike Katz (highland bagpipes, small pipes, bouzouki, whistles, bass, tenor guitar, guitar), Alasdair White (fiddle, whistle, tenor guitar), Sean O'Donnell (vocals, guitar), Ewen Henderson (fiddle, vocals, highland bagpipes, scottish smallpipes, whistle, piano).

Featuring:Mike Whellans (harmonica), Robin Morton (bodhran, bass drum).

"At the forefront of the Scottish music revival... Battlefield Band keeps the music alive... the recording of Room Enough For All is stellar..." (The San Diego Troubadour)
