Disc One: The Best of Battlefield Band
Battlefield Band have been touring the world for 33 years, and in that time have released 20 albums on the Temple Records label. This compilation disc contains 19 tracks, taken from 18 of those albums.

During the band's time together there have been many line-up changes, and this gives the listener the opportunity to catch up with many of the musicians who have been a part of and still are a part of Battlefield Band - Alan Reid, Brian McNeill, Jamie McMenemy, John Gahagan, Pat Kilbride, Duncan MacGillivray, Sylvia Barnes, Jim Barnes, Ged Foley, Dougie Pincock, Alistair Russell, John McCusker, Iain MacDonald, Davy Steele, Mike Katz and Karine Polwart.

Disc Two: Temple Records - A 25 Year Legacy
Robin Morton formed Temple Records in 1978 to create an outlet for the great Scottish music that was being ignored by the established record companies. The idea was, and still is, to release albums that reflect a great, proud, timeless tradition, which this disc represents.

With over 90 albums in the Temple Records catalogue, it was difficult to decide which albums to feature on this 25 track compilation, but we think what we have chosen gives you, the audience, a good taster of what is available on the Temple Records label. Not only does it give you the best of Scottish, it also gives you a little bit of Irish.

The artists featured are: Fiddlers Five * Mac-talla * Pat Kilbride * Brian McNeill * Jim Hunter * Shotts and Dykhead Caledonia Pipe Band * Alison Kinnaird * Heritage * Allan MacDonald and Gordon Walker * Flora MacNeil * Seamus Tansey * Peter Nardini * Maire Ni Chathasaigh * Christine Primrose * John McCusker * Battlefield Band * Alan Reid * Ann Heymann * Eilidh Mackenzie * Gordon Mooney * The Rowallan Consort * Sean McAloon * Arthur Cormack * Deaf Heights Cajun Aces and Mike Whellans.
