The Black family from Stanley, Perthshire, are father Bill Black (button accordion-playing bandleader and the Senior Scottish Champion of 1971), Bill's wife Ann (piano), and sons Robert and Duncan, both piano accordionists.

Robert was 14 and Duncan 11 when this album was recorded.
