Blazin' Fiddles were formed in the summer of 1998 for the Highland Festival. The idea was to take six fiddle players from various regions within the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and give people the chance to hear the differences between each of them - the individuals involved felt it vital that their own styles should be kept alive and promoted.
"The result was harmonies to die for, creating music of a depth, sweetness and power, which was almost literally intoxicating" (The Scotsman)
"Blazin Fiddles are doing for Scottish fiddle music what Trainspotting did for their film industry" (Halifax Herald, Canada)
"Absolutely mindblowing" (Mike Harding, BBC Radio 2)
"Enough craic to fuel an entire festival" (The Highland News)
