An outstanding album of slow airs and reflective melodies by many of Scotland's finest artistes.

The music features almost all of Scotland's traditional instruments including the clarsach, concertina, fiddle, guitar, Highland bagpipe, Scottish small pipes, piano, whistles and even a track with the Gaita Asturian (Asturian bagpipe).

Greentrax Recordings received many requests for an album exclusively of slow airs and reflective melodies. Their back-catalogue was carefully searched and after much deliberation this selection made.

The album features well-known groups as Ceolbeg, Fiddlers' Bid, The Cast and The Whistlebinkies; duos consisting of Xose Munoz and Simon Bradley, Willie Hunter and Violet Tulloch; and soloists Wendy Stewart, Gordon Gunn, Ian Hardie, Hamish Moore, Tony McManus, Iain MacInnes, Lorne MacDougall, Gary West and Jimmy Young. All musicians excellent exponents of their craft.

A collection to relax and enjoy!
