Taking their name from the Gaelic word for kinship, Gaelic supergroup Dàimh (pronounced da-eve) return with their eagerly anticipated second album.

The charging pipe and fiddle-led assault has seen Dàimh gigging far and wide, and their line-up now also includes Gaelic singer Calum Alex MacMillan from Lewis. They fuse together music from across the Celtic diaspora in a celebration of their common ground.

Diversions brings another high-energy, fast-flowing mixture of music from the Gaelic cultural tradition. Songs old and new cover all the favourite subjects of the Gaels - love, death, war and drink.

The band have previously been nominated for Scottish Folk Band Of The Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, and Calum Alex has been a Mod Gold Medallist and nominee for STMA Gaelic Singer Of The Year.

Dàimh are Angus MacKenzie (Highland pipes, Border pipes), Colm O' Rua (banjo, mandola), Gabe McVarish (fiddle), Ross Martin (guitar), James Bremner (bodhran) and Calum Alex MacMillan (vocals) with special guests Donald Shaw (piano, organ), Iain MacDonald (flute), Niall Vallely (concertina), Caoimhin Vallely (piano) and Norrie McIver (vocals).

"These musicians were born to this. Dàimh celebrate Celtic traditions with passion and pride, and it shows in this stunning recording..." (Songlines)

"Calum Alex MacMillan, who is simply magnificent... brings a whole lot of extra colour and character to the band’s sound..." (The Scotsman)
