Desi, a celebrated flute player and a well-known singer, also plays whistle and bagpipes. He has travelled the world as a member of the group Cran.

This album includes a selection of familiar old airs and some new ones, played on various wooden flutes.

This is Desi Wilkinson's second solo album. Using a variety of flutes made from Yew, Bamboo and African hardwood to play some of his best loved tunes, Desi explores the tonal qualities unique to the wooded instrument.
