He is no stranger to recording in a studio environment, having recorded 3 albums with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and played on the soundtrack to DreamWorks film How to Train your Dragon 2.

In September 2017 he recorded his album with back up from a carefully selected group of musicians.. resulting in a stunning unique album.

Guest appearances: Ali Hutton (electric guitar),Katie MacFarlane (vocals).

"This is the first recording that really reflects me as a musician, which is exciting but also pretty terrifying! It s quite daunting letting other people hear your work. I ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to record on various projects over the years but I am now at the point in my career where I want to release my own material that reflects me as a musician and showcases my own personal tastes in my tune writing. I have been writing my own tunes for over five years but I didn t ever play any of them in public until I took part in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the year competition. Playing a medley of my own tunes not only in front of my peers but also to such a prestigious panel of judges really gave me the confidence to perform my own material and start working towards writing and recording my own solo album."
