The House Band encompasses Irish, Scottish, Breton, Bulgarian and African traditions. Rockall captures the pulse of this amazing British quartet, and it's their best recording yet. As in their live shows, Rockall pulls the listener into the tunes as the exquisitely textured arrangements build in intensity and beauty. The rich, dark vocals carry on Britain's tradition of superb male singers, featuring Roger Wilson (who also plays fiddle and guitar) and Ged Foley (adding guitar, mandolin, Northumbrian smallpipes). Rounded out by John Skelton (flute, whistle, bombarde) and Chris Parkinson (melodeon, harmonica), The House Band's eclectic repertoire is more than matched by their instrumental virtuosity.

"Dazzling multi-instrumentalists ... they'll make your ears dance." (Minneapolis City Pages)

"Cliche-defying instrumental virtuosi." (Acoustic Music Magazine)

"Scintillating extemporization, brilliant musicianship, great material and riotous humor." (Rogue Folk)
