(May 2010) 12 tracks (50 mins): Remember * The Ballad of James and Isa Cursitor * Pomena's Hardy Son * Legend of Boray Isle * Ivan Drever's Compliments to The Kirkwall City Pipe Band * Blue Orkney Sky * I Suppose We Could Talk About Kirkwall * Rose of St Magnus * Notes From An Island * The Night Over Kirkwall Was Still * Dances With Grulie Belkies * Take The Song Home.

Singer-songwriter Ivan Drever's love of his island home of Orkney, its heritage and people are evident in this collection of original songs.

After joining Wolfstone in 1990 as lead singer, Ivan travelled worldwide with the band. He has also toured frequently with fiddler Duncan Chisholm - their DVD Long December Night captures them playing live in the relaxed setting of Duncan's house.

Ivan's songs and tunes have been recorded by an impressive list of artists. Heart And Soul, co-written with Duncan Chisholm, was featured in Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's movie Good Will Hunting.

The album was recorded in Orkney during December 2009 - standout tracks include the moving Ballad Of James And Isa Cursiter (dedicated to his children to remind them of the importance of the land) and the haunting Rose Of St Magnus.

Ivan Drever (guitar, vocals) with Stuart Shearer (guitars, mandolin, bass, piano, keyboards, vocals), Graham Simpson (drums, percussion), Seona Dunsmuir (piano, fiddle), Tina Wood (accordion), Dawn Stout (fiddle), Colin Wilson (snare drum), Aimee Leonard & The Song Shop Choir (vocals), Ivan Stuart, Linda (handclap), Andy Cant (fiddle) and Kirkwall City Pipe Band.

"Having completed about six songs, I realised there was a common thread amongst them - Orkney... I realised it might be nice to complete the record on that theme. What you have then, is a few songs and tunes that reflect where I come from, and what it means to me. Given the history between Orkney, where I'm from, and Norway, where I live, it seemed ironic that most of the album was written in the land of the Norseman, then taken back home for recording..." (Ivan Drever)

"An outright triumph... Lifts Ivan Drever up to the highest podium on the European folk and country scene... An echo of Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, and strands of gospel music in the fusion of sound it creates... A true craftsman opening up his soul to us all in tribute to his homeland and those Orkney folk who helped shape his life..." (Living Orkney)
