Following in his father Fergie's famous sockprints, John MacDonald plays the button key accordion in West Coast style, but he does it his way.
With keyboard and drums as regular backing, plus guest musicians dropping in, the gang rip through Gaelic mouth music tunes, Irish reels, classic Scottish marches, a couple of Fergie tunes and a couple of John's own compositions too.
John MacDonald (button key accordion) with Sandy Meldrum (piano), Hugh MacCallum (drums), Allan Henderson (fiddle, whistle), Addie Harper (guitar), Colm O’Rua (banjo) and Isaac Sutherland (guitars).
"John MacDonald's natural ability will take him a long way. As fiddle players we have waited a long time to hear this kind of box-playing" (Blazin' Fiddles)
