The Tradition Bearers series brings in this young man whose singing far belies his years and upbringing. Kieron Means is the son of American folksinger Sara Grey and America-based English music journalist and guitarist Andrew Means.

Brought up in Lancashire and Scotland, Kieron has gravitated to his mother's side of the musical pond, and now sings North American songs in a pure and charismatic manner.

This album features one of Kieron's own songs, along with three other more recent songs, amongst such classic traditional songs as the Boll Weevil, Shady Grove and Heart-aching Blues. Sara joins Kieron on vocals and banjo, with Kate Lissauer on vocals and fiddle.
