Pipe Major Angus MacColl and Oban High School Pipe Band and friends recorded Live in Concert from the Corran Halls, Oban, March 2013.

This CD showcases the band's wide repertoire and captures the atmosphere of their live performance.

Mod Gold Medalist and Traditional Gold Medalist singer Mary Catherine MacNeil, and local singer Peter Sinclair, performed with the band to great effect.

In September 2005 Angus MacColl, in conjunction with the Netherlorn Piping Society, had an idea to form a youth pipe band to serve the Oban and Lorne Area.

When first formed, there were just eight interested pipers, however this quickly grew and to date there are some sixty seven registered members, creating two competing bands - a juvenile and novice juvenile band.

The band performed in their first competition in August 2008, placing 9th out of 23 at Cowal. Building on this success they went on to become Novice Juvenile World Champions in August 2010. This is due to the hard work and dedication of world-renowned piper Angus MacColl, who inspires so many to play pipes.

Singers: Mary Catherine MacNeil, Peter Sinclair. Additional musicians: Sileas Sinclair (piano, musical arrangements), Finlay Wells (electric guitar, bass guitar), Danny Grant (drums), Becky Hill (clarsach), Oban High School Choir arranged and directed by Morven McKerrell, Finlay Wells' Guitar School.
