A very interesting new conceptualised album from the Poets. Still with their trademark funky/roughstuff fiddling and minimalist chorded traditional-style tunes, but a new overall sound on the album, which, if left to itself, plays seamlessly from one track to the next - no gaps!

A greater rock influence here, with some very strongly electrified tracks, wild drumming and big cymbals, but still the glint of a none too serious grin flashing through! Guitars, drums, sax and scuffed vocals join the fiddle for the Poet's unique sound.
