Robin and Jimmie's musical partnership was formed in 1960. Both Hall and MacGregor also played as part of the Galliards with Leon Rosselson and Shirley Bland during the 1960s.

The Galliards folk group was generally accepted as being well ahead of its time.

Most of the tracks have come from the A Rovin' LP recorded by the Galliards in 1961 and are digitally enhanced for CD, with tracks 2 and 15 taken from an EP by duo Robin And Jimmie recorded in 1960.

Although digitally enhanced there may be a few slight imperfections associated with the age of the original material.
