Sòlas Clann Dhòmhnaill is a unique collection, comprising for the first time the complete commercial recordings of The MacDonald Sisters, who were a sensation in Scotland during the 60s and 70s.

The image of Gaelic folk music in the media was transformed by the glamorous sisters, who were the embodiment of a living tradition.

They were part of a movement among young singers and musicians to expand the range of Gaelic singing and song in the spirit of groups as disparate as The Young Tradition, Fairport Convention and The Incredible String Band.
