New songs created by Mike Scott, who formed The Waterboys in 1983, from the lyrics of Ireland's greatest poet, W B Yeats.

An Appointment With Mr Yeats existed first as a concert experience, debuted in March 2010 at Dublin's Abbey Theatre, then romped through at Celtic Connections earlier in 2011 with an expanded ten-piece Waterboys line-up. Only then did Scott and ensemble go into the studio to record 14 of the 20 songs which feature in the show.
