Four Celtic acts brought together for the Irish Folk Festival 2002 tour of Germany.

From the husky tones of Geraldine MacGowan to the grand up-tempo traditional style of the Allan Kelly band, the music is very much alive. Still very much active too are the medieval tones of the hurdy-gurdy, played here by the grand master, Jake Walton, in company with Eric Liorzou on mandola and guitar. The fourth act on the album, Slide, play traditional tunes too, but with a very vibrant uplift.

The motto 'a blast from the past' says it all - the past is very much alive! All tracks on this compilation are previously unreleased and were recorded exclusively as a tangible memory of the Irish Folk Festival Tour 2002.
