Great songs of Scotland sung by Stephen Quigg (vocals, guitar, banjo, bodhran) and friends. Old and new songs, all well-known and well-loved, given new life by his unpretentious, easy-going style.

Born in Ardrossan, Ayrshire, Stephen has produced several solo CDs and is one of the most in-demand musicians in Scotland. Stephen's fine singing and unaffected enthusiasm for the music has made him extremely popular wherever he has performed - he has established himself as one of the most popular folk singers in Britain today. In 2001 Stephen was asked to join the internationally acclaimed McCalmans, and has become a popular addition to the band.

Stephen has played at countless venues throughout Scotland, England and Ireland, where his festival successes include the prestigious Irvine, Orkney and Inverness Folk Festivals. His solo concerts at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe were packed and received fine reviews. Stephen still travels from Adrossan to his gigs throughout Europe.

He has gained a huge following, particularly in the Highlands of Scotland, where his repertoire ranges from sensitive traditional ballads to foot-stamping Scottish folksongs. One of the secrets of Stephen's success is his 'way' with an audience. His introductions are relevant and often hilarious, keeping him in demand as a compere at concerts and festivals.

He has a rare combination of musical skill and a sense of fun, and has appeared regularly in TV and radio, featuring as a resident in a popular Radio 2 series which was broadcast throughout Britain.
