A remarkable collection of previously unreleased recordings made in the early 1970s.

22 songs in both Irish and English performed by six of Co. Galway's finest sean-nós singers.

Connemara is known for its wealth of traditional songs and this CD is a window into the past.

The singers: Seán 'ac Dhonncha, Pádraic Ó Conghaile, Rita & Sarah Keane, Colm Ó Caoidheáin,Tom Pháidín Tom and Cáit Bean Uí Chonluain have now all passed away and so we are fortunate that Terry Yarnell made these recordings in the 1970s.

Terry was originally from East London and in the 1960s he was a member of the Critics study group and the London Singer’s Club, both led by Ewan McColl and Peggy Seeger. It was McColl who instigated Terry’s first field trip to Galway.

This CD is presented in an attractive digipak with a thirty-six page booklet with singers'
biographies and song notes by Éamonn Ó Bróithe and John Howson.

Veteran label 2019.
