Booking us for a festival or gig? Why not have us run a workshop with live music? We offer expert tuition for complete beginners or for those with more experience in a pair of hard shoes. We are also available for short residential courses. Our teaching methods focus on musicality, good timing and having a good time! As musicians, we can clearly explain the connections between the music and the dance. Students will be encouraged to be creative with what they have learnt with respect to improvising and inventing their own steps. Between us we have a wide range of experience in teaching different age groups and abilities, and have taught regularly for ALP, GFW, SMO, Step 2000 and the Celtic Connections Schools Programme. Keri will be teaching with Frank McConnell at Sabhal Mor Ostaig from 28th July to 1st August 2003 and Donal will be teaching with Harvey Beaton at Sabhal Mor Ostaig Gaelic college from 7th to 11th July 2003. For more information, contact the college directly: Sim Innes Alison teaches intermediate / advanced classes for the Adult Learning Project in Edinburgh, and also teaches in Glasgow as part of the Glasgow Fiddle Workshop (all levels welcome). If you're interested in learning stepdance, please contact us and we'll try to help you find a class in your area. |
