First solo album from Adam, recorded live at The Ceilidh Place, Ullapool in the North-West Highlands of Scotland.
This album presents all Adam's own compositions and showcases his skills as both player and composer. He hails from Errogie on the south shores of Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland.
Adam is one of Scotland's most exciting fiddle players, known for his work as part of The Treacherous Orchestra, Session A9, Peatbog Faeries, Babelfish and Croft No Five. He has also played with a host of other well known acts including Salsa Celtica and Manran.
Sleeve notes includes Adam's notes on his compositions.
Adam Sutherland (fiddle) is accompanied by a stellar cast of superb Scottish musicians: Marc Clement (guitar, keyboard), Iain Copeland (drums) and John Paul Speirs (electric, double bass).
"Adam's music is testament to the change that is unfolding within traditional music in Scotland, where innovation and experimentation are breaking down the constraining barriers of old and self expression is absolute. Adam creates music that is free spirited and joyful, drawn from influences as diverse as jazz, classical, European celtic and the tunes of his native Inverness-shire. This album is colourful, courageous and bold just like the man himself." (Duncan Chisholm).
