A unique folk album relating the life of the Dumfriesshire born sailor who achieved notoriety during the American War of Independence.

Alan Reid has written all the songs and music, composing pieces in the folk styles of all the different countries Jones visited. Sea battles, intrigue, scandal and even murder all feature.

Alan was a vital member of Battlefield Band from it's inception in 1969 till his departure in 2010. In that time he toured all over the world and made almost 30 recordings with the band, working with such artists as Garrison Keillor, Van Morrison and Mike Oldfield.

Rob is a guitarist of exceptional skill and subtlety. Rob has worked for Battlefield Band for 13 years as their sound engineer for both live and recorded work.
