Aonghas is one the finest exponents of the Scottish West Highland fiddle style, as well as being the father of Shooglenifty's Angus Grant.

The famous Left-handed Fiddler has never had a formal lesson, but in the 1960s and 70s he was fiddle champion at the National Mod four times, and won the Tom Anderson cup twice.

His style is typical of the old fiddlers in the Great Glen area.
