The long awaited second album from this talented folk band from Shetland.

This energetic, Shetland fiddle-led group unleashes a maelstrom of melodies backed up by an impressive rhythm section.

Their repertoire is drawn from Shetland tradition as well as Nordic and Celtic influences.

The album '500 Sessions' was recorded, mixed and mastered in Shetland.

The main recording sessions took place in Unst at Belmont House and at the Big Jangly Music Hut (Baltasound Junior High School Music Department Studio).

The title of the album evolved naturally through the countless card games played in between takes!

Ewen Thomson(fiddle, guitar, tenor banjo), Lois Nicol (fiddle), Maurice Henderson (fiddle, melodeon, mandolin), Ross Couper (fiddle), Helen Whitham (fiddle), Stewart Grains (fiddle), Mark Laurenson (fiddle, mandolin), Grant Nicol (guitar, mandolin, bass drone mandola), Peter Wood (piano), John Clark (bass guitar, upright bass, tenor banjo, mandolin, Davie Jamieson (drums, percussion).

" ?they are quite simply one of Shetland's most vivacious and, yes, downright talented musical acts." Davie Gardiner.
