Highly regarded as one of the foremost female groups on the English folk scene, the emphasis is very firmly on the voices, with just flute and piano accompaniment.

Maggie Boyle, Helen Hockenhull and Lynda Hardcastle are each superb and distinctive singers. They made their recording debut in 1994, and this is their third CD on Fellside Recordings.

They exhibit that empathy which comes from singing together regularly over a long period. As before, this recording blends traditional songs with classy contemporary ones, and this time the writers range from Donovan to Steve Ashley.

"All three have lovely voices and they achieve a beautiful blend when harmonising." (Dirty Linen)
