Produced by Steve Addabbo (Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega), Into The Light combines seven dynamite new songs with four Celtic instrumental suites, capturing the spirit and soul of a band that loves to kick out the jams. Renowned for their red-hot live shows, Kips Bay is one of the most exciting and talented groups on the modern Celtic scene.

Led by singer/guitarist Pat Kilbride and Irish accordion champion John Whelan, this rocking 5-piece ensemble garners more fans with each fiery performance. Since emerging in the early 1990s , the band has grown to become a household name among lovers of Irish and roots-based music across America.

Kips Bay's powerful sound draws on the virtuosity and unique musicality of the individual band members. Kilbride is a stunning player on both guitar and cittern. John Whelan's blazing button accordion and dancing-in-the-aisles is a highlight of Kips Bay live shows. Former Billy Idol drummer and Ted Nugent band mate Steve Missal and superb world-beat bass player Richard Lindsey make up the unforgettable rhythm section. Newest member Kinny Landrum, a New Orleans keyboard wizard who has played with The Meters, Jimmy Cliff and Robert Palmer, brings a new dimension to Kips Bay with his southern soul.

Originally called Kips Bay Ceili Band, the group was founded by Pat Kilbride to perform for a party at New York City's CBGB's. The group clicked and quickly gathered a loyal following, performing regularly at downtown New York clubs including Paddy Reilly's and Tommy Makem's. Fortune changed for Kips Bay with the release of their first album, Diggin In (produced by John Simon). The popularity of that release set Kips Bay off on a two year musical odyssey that would make them festival favorites across North America and Europe.

Featuring Pat Kilbride, Kinny Landrum, Richard Lindsey, Steve Missal, John Whelan, Steve Addabbo, John McGann.
