Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh is an award-winning traditional singer and musician from Corca Dhuibhne, West Kerry.

She has an exquisitely expressive voice and she is a leading exponent of the sean nós style.

Her repertoire includes songs from a wide variety of folk and contemporary sources.

Well known and respected as the lead singer and flute player with the Irish traditional supergroup Danu, as well as a performing as a solo artist.

A popular television presenter, Muireann has hosted a range of programmes for Irish and Scottish TV including the celebrated traditional music series Port which she co-presents with Scottish Gaelic singer, Julie Fowlis.

Muireann is supported on this album Foxglove And Fuschia by a stellar cast of musicians including Gerry O'Beirne, Donogh Hennessey, Donal O'Connor, Seamus Begley and many more.

This album will be premiering at the Celtic Connections Festival, Glasgow, January 2018.
