Flute and fiddle. Merry indeed are the musicians * Peter plays nifty flute, Gerry fiddles with style, and Ollie Ross adds a deft touch on piano. Irish traditional tunes in neat and simple style induet form. Reels, hornpipes, jigs, polkas and an air.

Peter Horan is one of the best and most famous of the older Sligo musicians. For many years he was Fred Finn’s musical partner, until Fred’s untimely death. In this duo Peter played flute along with Fred’s fiddle. For that reason, many people were unaware of Peter’s own prowess on the fiddle.

Now Peter has made an album (playing flute) with the much younger Kenmare fiddler, Gerry Harrington. Accompanied by Ollie Ross on piano they play the best of Sligo music, with a joyous lift and a very definite personality.
